Deviation Actions
On my profile, in the top right, there's a donation pool. I want to spend the entire year raising up enough points to buy 50 Vertical Zip hoodies to donate to the nearest homeless shelter at the end of the year next year. I've never had a hard time with money, in fact, you could say I was pretty spoiled. I never let it get to me, I've always been helpful, but I've never been able to actually help with donations or charities, especially during Christmas time. I've always done what I could, give loose change when buying something at the Dollar Store, I've always very happily dropped in what little money I had for the Salvation Army buckets outside Wal*Marts. But I've never been able to do anything big that I could actually see make a difference in somebody's Life, and I want to do that. After I get my settlement and move back to Savannah, I plan on giving everything extra that I have. But for right now, I want to be able to use deviantART, my current one and only resource to reach out and communicate with people and help them or ask them to help me help others who need it more, to do what I can for people who need it.
I know there are people who say that the homeless need to just get their asses off the street and get a job. My father is one of those people, and always have been. But there are children left alone all the time; People who have been kicked out; Those who have lost their jobs and, in this economy, take q longer time to find another. It's not exactly easy to get a job if you have nowhere to live, no way to bathe, and no form of being contacted. At the very least, we can try to make it a little easier. Both jobs I ever had so far were because someone helped me get them; I've always had someone, or something, and that's what we all take for granted. - that if we didn't have our parents housing us, or our employers keeping us, or our friends helping us, we would all be hungry and cold and lonely, too. We all have to help each other, we can't just let other suffers because they can't do something on their own. So please, this upcoming year, if you can and want to, help me make sure I can keep 50 people warm next winter.

Featured folder explanation and purpose
Hello everyone!
I'm writing this small explanation of the uses we recently gave the Featured folder. To all our members we will be asking not to submit in the Featured folder for these two main reasons:
1. The folder is used only for winners of our contests.
2. Also for selections of artwork that we as contributors find relevant for the folder.
As it is, the Featured folder is for featured artwork. Not for everyday use of the members. We have a vast list of folders you can find almost one to be what you need to submit your artwork.

aplologies for the expiring deviations
dear group members, i have taken the liberty to write a short explanatory journal entry, as i believe i have at last understood the problem about the expiring deviations. seeing some signs of our members being understandably unhappy with what has recently been happening i wish to apologize in the name of the team and explain the problem to you all.
i believe the reason for the expiring deviations is that the dA system does not allow any of the new contributors (including myself) to vote on deviations submitted before we have joined the team, and this makes me believe that any of the other changes made by our founder do not actually apply to
More Contributors!
The changes have been made but images are still expiring.
To further help to stop this we are looking for a minimum of 5 more Contributors. If you would like to be one, here is what we are looking for.
Someone who can judge without bias
Someone who can visit the voting section at least once a day on four different days a week.
Someone who will not vote on just one or two images. You will need to vote on most if not all. If we get enough contributors though I do not believe anyone will have to sift though many pieces.
Someone who is not afraid to speak their mind as long as they can be professional about it. Never a need for rude people.
Super Delayed but Super Important Updates Here!
Here we go. We have about 1500 members and that is a lot.
We also are having issues I promised would be resolved and I have been lax on that. I humbly apologize. We have tons of submissions that expire without getting votes. We do get scores of submissions daily and its hard to keep up with this many people. We do not want anyone upset over expired art yet is is difficult to sift though so many works a day. So here is the change.
You can submit 1 Photo per day. This way it will ease the number of submissions we receive daily and allow us to scrutinize each submission better.
